Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 1st Corinthians 13:4-8a
Most people think of Cupid as simply a matchmaker. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. Though the Cupid Angel represents love in both modern and myth, the Cupid job is broader than people realize. Cupid is also a warrior angel that assists in keeping the darkness from our hearts and minds. His bow and arrow, thought to be used for shooting love into the hearts of humans is literally a weapon against darkness. When things feel too desperate or lonely, Cupid lights one of his arrows on fire and shoots it into the heart of the darkness and lighting the way for us to travel out of it.
Rules for Cupid Angels
1 Cupid can’t force anyone to love another. That is a choice we all have to make.
2 Cupid reminds us even when we are angry that love is the best answer out of whatever situation we are in.
3 Cupid may guide two people together but what they do from their is up to them.
4 Cupid also brings friendships together as well as working relationships. The ideology behind this is that cupid embodies all things dealing with love.
5 Cupid is one of the first angels to teach our children. Love is learned before birth. And much to the disappointment of all Cupids, it is humans that teach our children to hate.
6 Cupid teaches us to love ourselves first, because if we can’t love ourselves then how can we love another with our whole hearts.
“May love always exist in your heart and make you SHINE”
